Thanks Teachers! Summer, he we go ...

So, school here in Vermont is officially out for the summer! Woohoo!  In all honesty, my older daughter finished up her final exams on Monday so she's been "on vacation" for a few days already. It will be nice to have a more relaxed schedule for the next few months ... at least I know that I am looking forward to it!

Of course, last night at dinner, my younger daughter asked if I had any cards that she could give to her teachers. Had I really forgotten to prepare anything for the teachers? No, not exactly. I guess I just assumed that now that she was in 7th grade, we could maybe not have to do so many gifts/cards for the teachers. I do know that that kind of thinking was wrong ... after all, 7th grade teachers work just as hard as the earlier grade teachers, so why shouldn't they get any of the "goods" at the end of the year, right? Oh well ...

I quickly looked at photos of some recent cards that I had made and came up with a few ideas and went to work! We needed four "thank you" cards and one "congratulations" card for one of the teachers that was retiring. Lucky for me, I had two cards available that I had made a few weeks ago, so I went to work making up three more. It sure is a good thing that I LOVE making cards or my evening may have ended a little differently.

Here's what my daughter ended up bringing with her this morning for her last 1/2 day of school as a 7th grader.

Hopefully, the teachers will each enjoy their cards as much as I enjoyed making them!

Let the summer begin ...

I'll be back soon to post some pictures of father's day cards.
Until next time, be good to you!
